A Web Log from A Phantom Tire Buyer with a Secret Identity
Today was a red-letter day for me, dear readers! As some of you may know, I often visit mall parking lots and randomly perform visual inspections on the tires of the customers who park there. (You might be surprised how many people are non-appreciative of this work, particularly when I’m crouched down behind a vehicle and the owner appears.) But lately, there simply haven’t been enough vehicles in the parking to make my visits worthwhile. However, I’m happy to report that every day I’m seeing more and more cars in the lots, with responsible shoppers scurrying about wearing their protective face masks.
Fair warning, though. I’m only one Phantom Tire Buyer with a secret identity, so I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to visually inspect YOUR vehicle. That’s why it’s CRUCIAL that you take a careful look at your own tires. Your car has likely not been driven very much over the last several weeks.
Check your tire pressure. Look for flat spots that that be the result of your staying in the same position for too long. Check your oil and coolant levels. Even better, do all these things as best you can, and then take your car to the nearest Tire Discounters for a complimentary free inspection (This is just a double check because we know you are awesome and probably got it right when you inspected everything)! Nothing eases the mind quite like a thumbs-up from and ASE-Certified technician!
